Both of our carpet cleaning products; Mister Carpet™ or Fast-Dry Carpet Extractor™  are very effective at removing gum from carpeting .

Directions for Gum Removal

Score the gum with a putty knife as this will allow the cleaner to get under the gum. Using  Mister Carpet™ or Fast-Dry Carpet Extractor™  at full strength, apply a small amount of Mister Carpet to the gum. Let stand one minute and scrape the gum away from the carpet with a putty knife.  Always use caution with any sharp instruments and cut away from yourself. You must be careful to scrape only the gum away from the carpet fibers. Stop immediately should you see any damage occurring to the carpet. 

After the gum has been removed you will need to clean the carpet as the residue from the gum will resoil very fast unless cleaned.
